Call for papers
The seventh Skians research conference for the Cornish language will take place in October 2026. Further details about the date and venue will be confirmed closer to the event.
Papers are invited on the following aspects of the Cornish language, both traditional and revived:
(b) as a revived language;
(c) as a language of a stateless nation;
(d) as a language with few speakers.
Abstracts should not exceed 200 words and should include titles and affiliations. Papers should be planned for up to 20 minutes.
Please submit your abstract to [email protected] with the subject 'Skians 2026' by Monday 15th June 2026. Authors will be notified of their paper's acceptance by Monday 29th June 2026.
- The linguistics of Cornish, theoretical and applied.
- The literature of Cornish
- The place of Cornish within a framework, e.g.
(b) as a revived language;
(c) as a language of a stateless nation;
(d) as a language with few speakers.
